This is all true. And I’m flying today.

..it’s amazing the number of commands required to be entered each time to view and modify data spread across multiple sub-routines across the flight and customer databases. No airline wants to make the change to modern software because of the chaos the changeover would bring..

I remember when computerized cash registers first came out. I put a stick of gum on the checkout counter. The cashier typed about 40 keys before the cash drawer opened.

“Wow,” I said. “What if I had bought two sticks of gum?”

“Better Living Through Technology”….my AZZZZ!!!!

I remember when we were running just a little late for our flight, and the agent said, “Oh, you’ll never make it.” Then she proceeded to type random keys for TWENTY minutes.

Airline check-in should take 30-45 seconds if the reservation is in order.

And if she gives you any trouble, just click on ‘TSA’ at the top right. That will send TSA a message to strip-search her.
