Well, his first statement is correct: widespread acceptance does not necessarily imply correctness. (Especially since most people’s idea of “nearly everyone” is just their own social circle.)

I know too many people who appear to be unable to recover from this amount of exposure. They’re lucky it hasn’t killed them, although it very well may be something that proves — quite soon — to be ultimately fatal to the USA democratic representative republic experiment.
