People tell me I’m too skinny (5’10" 180 lbs) but the BMI chart says I’m overweight.

My BMI was okay, until the clinic decided I had shrunk 1.5".

The BMI is a bunch of Hooy. It doesn’t take into account a large or heavy bone structure or a lot of muscle mass.

I’m an inch away from buying one of those scales that have the readout on a wall so I don’t have to lean forward so far to see the number..

It’s easier to put on a bit of height than to take off any weight.

Reminds me of the World War II hit song, “Mr. Five by Five”. “Five by Five” is a radio quality measure. It means you are reporting maximum signal strength and maximum intelligiblity. It came to mean “everything is OK”. In the song, Mr. Five by Five is five-feet from front to back and the same from side-to-side.

BMI really means “Belt Measurement Index.” If your belt is more than ½ of your height you should either lose weight or gain height. And how does the BMI work for those missing limbs? My height is the same as George Kittle’s, but I am about 20 pounds lighter. I do a lot of bike riding and walking. If you really want to lose weight, get a dog. We have three and they are big NewfieLabs. About ½ between Newfies and Labs. With all the fur and not as much drool. The two adults are over 100 lbs and the “little one” is about 80 lbs. And they are all muscle.

I gained 20 pounds about the same time I lost 3" in height.
