There must be a misunderstanding.

Sometimes it’s best to keep your thoughts to yourself.

At least precede it by a “Thank you for your hard work dear, I really appreciate it.” Then wrap it in a tortilla and save it for breakfast tomorrow.

She was being nice, unusual! But maybe Brutus should have said so last night

Just shut up and eat it or get a donut and coffee on the way to work

Dump the plate into the blender?

Hopefully it is a paper plate, because if you dumped a plate made out of bone china into the blender, I don’t think the mix will be that very smooth eating!

The last time someone cooked a big breakfast like that for me, I jumped up and kissed them right on the lips.

I’m now banned from that Waffle House

The facial expressions in this one are absolutely hilarious! The third panel alone is an all time classic. Plus we are seeing the sarcastic side of Gladys. Momma trained her well. Pure snark – apple didn’t fall far from that tree! Bravo!!!

Visited an uncle many decades ago and the first night there he was eating a sirloin steak, baked potato, beans, and salad smoothie out of a bowl with a spoon. He was being fitted for dentures….

Just eat and go to Smoothie King later.

Make the smoothie and chow down on the scranbled eggs and bacon Brutus.

Atta girl, Gladys!!! Brutus, she made you breakfast. Eat it, sir. If you want a smoothy, stop and by one on your way to work.

I wonder what Gladys will make for him for dinner? Maybe a smoothie? A hamburger with mustard and onion, along with French fries smoothie? She can offer to add ketchup and pickles if he wants.

And the seemingly obligatory Spinach and orange. You can still dip the toast, if you are able.

We all slip up occasionally; even the most experienced married man who knows better will sometimes speak without thinking. That isn’t snark coming from Gladys in panel 3; that’s hurt feelings. She went to the trouble of making sure you had breakfast, Brutus, even with an early morning doctor appointment on her schedule. Give her a genuine apology, then thank her and have your breakfast. And maybe bring her home some flowers tonight.
