Scooters have a small trunk. Carry a rain jacket in there, and pull over to put it on when you feel the first drops. I’ve been riding motorcycles for 60 years now, and I learned that a long time ago.
Was tight on funds, rode my motorcycle year round in the rocky mountains. Only accident I ever had, was a lady running a stop light in a snowstorm. Hit me, sent me spinning and then tried to take off. Was a great bike.

No time to put on a rain suit. And you are already wet.
