To me, faith is believing in something that can’t be proven by enforcing positive thinking and hope by what IS there, yet accepting that it may never be able to be proven……if that made sense.

Tim Minchin: Science adjusts its views based on what’s observed. Faith is the denial of observation so that belief can be preserved.
