We have raccoons who frequent our trash cans. Big ones, too. Big as my neighbors Irish Setter. I’ve used bungees, clamps and a cinder block all of which failed to thwart the midnight bandits. Today, I’m drilling a 1/4 inch hole through both the lid and the upper lip so I can inset an S hook. Wish me luck. I’m so over cleaning up after them!
I just occurred to me—if the characters were allowed to age, would Peekaboo end up growing a honkin’ big nose like her mom? She’s the only cat that we’ve ever seen with a dainty nose.

I haven’t seen a raccoon in my neighbourhood for a couple of years – squirrels, however are an entirely different story and they drive my cats nuts.

To Don and Pat, your cat characters are totally paw-some! Love Peekaboo.
