Seems appropriate. Ever hunted turkey? If the Bird Kingdom had an army, turkeys would be Delta. They’re unbelievable!

There are lots of wild turkeys around my house. My understanding is they actually don’t taste very good. Or maybe, they don’t taste like the farm grown turkeys you buy. I’ll stick with those.

If you shoot at a turkey, don’t miss. They can be pretty nasty when they’re riled.

Where I live, turkeys will hang around in the streets. I finally learned that if I go slowly, they will move, slowly. I like watching them in my backyard. So far, I haven’t had any threats from them. I will keep that in mind. I have no intentions of trying to befriend a wild turkey, but my dog just might. She thinks every living thing is her friend. I try to avoid problems, so I am always attached to her outside by a leash.

I think this year I’ll have a vegan Thanksgiving. Instead of a turkey we’ll just carve a huge…hmm—I know! Watermelon! Luckily, I happen to have spotted one in the field and have my rifle trained on it. Steady, steady…
