If the Universe is 13.7 billion years old, how is it possible that the Methuselah Star was estimated to be 14.5 billion years old?

13.7 billion light years is the observable Universe, it’s unknown how vast the Universe really is, who knows, it may go on forever, we just don’t Know. Yet.

12? 13.7? 13.8? What I want to know is did it start on a Sunday? Monday? Maybe a Saturday? And what time? 8:30? Noonish? Maybe 5:30?

I’m not buying it. Go the 13.7 billion lightyears in your magic spaceship and look ahead. What do you see? Another 13.7 or whatever billion years. Rinse and repeat. It’s easy to explain, but too few are willing to even consider the possibilities.
