Wife grows ’em and I eat them. A microwaved small homegrown potato is pretty good with butter, sour cream and chives. Although the cold is slowing the chives down. Great granddaughter, two years old, came trick or treating and made a beeline to the strawberry patch today. She garnered the last good strawberry. I had my eye on that strawberry….but I forgave her.

If you lead a horse to water and he doesn’t drink, you didn’t lead him far enough.

You can lead a horse to water but before you push him in, stop and remember how a wet horse smells.

And the deluxe burger has pickles, lettuce, onions, and tomatoes on it, all of which are vegetables. So what’s the beef, besides a dead steer?

LOL, it’s just about the opposite with us — I love all sorts of vegetables, usually prefer fresh or frozen, while my wife only tolerates canned peas and a couple other things.

Oddly enough, a hamburger is actually comprised of portions of the recommended food groups……

Like most carbohydrates, potatoes are pretty bland without a big boost from salt and fats. As I think of it most vegetables seem to need similar help. Has a state fair done deep-fried salad yet?
