Why did he carve a mouth?

I carved one like that once- a tall, thin pumpkin with a loud speaker in it and a neon timing light for the eye, hooked up to a PA system that made the light flash as you spoke.

With one eye I doubt that he would have enough depth perception to carve that gourd.

Can the pumpkin now see his time of death and does it involve a cannon?

A piece of the mouth cut out doesn’t line up.

Don’t ask him what happened to his other eye, especially around Halloween. :)
