the play with the hair in the first panel …. i suffered from this for a long time and not sure how i stopped but yeah…. it was annoying for everyone (and for myself too but I didn’t feel it til it was over)
I’d never pictured cartoonist as having a glamorous life. It seems like hard work, constant deadlines, and putting your wonderful work out there for scrutiny. Who’s been telling Amanda tales?

I’m reminded of the Kliban "“Out of the way you swine! A cartoonist is coming!” strip.

People who have not tried it fail to realize the easiest thing in the world is not-writing. :(

That’s why I’ve always admired cartoonists, coming up with new material every day is tough. Especially one panel comics.

As a fellow cartoonist, I totally understand! I sometimes thumb through my 30 years worth of cartoon idea drawings, whenever the well runs dry!
