What does a dog think his master is thinking when they play fetch? Does the dog think that its master wants the stick? If master wants the stick, why does he keep throwing it away?
I missed that when I dog-sat my sister’s Jack Russell, he’s lost his eyesight and is hard of hearing, I could toss that ball all day and he would not quit when he was younger.

His heart might not be totally in the game, but think what good shape you’re getting in from this exercise and how thin his left hand will be.

Presumably it is raining outside so Fred is getting the exercise but missing out on the fresh air.
