Will Duffy turn the tide of battle?

We know the gun wants to fire but since Duffy is not a topsider, will it?

We and they are about to learn something about that sentient weapon

1) So that’s where Terrance is. 2) The gun has fired for Duffy before-in fact it had demanded that Duffy pick it up and use it. (10/26/2021). 3) And…oh $#^&…I think we’re going to see what happens when we add the element of Duffy (who had tried to jump off a cliff), to this survival equation. 4) I am happy to see that Kirbee is with Chic.

Ah crap. I hope this doesn’t end up with Duffy dead like Alan.

“Oh, I’m no seaman, sir. Joe can manage just as well.”

Interesting. Remember how Terrence did not want to leave his friends at the Eden lab? He was going to die with them and had to be knocked out to allow him to be taken with Wally, Duffy and Alan. Now he is on the lifeboat, staying alive. Not blaming him for that.

Maybe the gun will convince the mutts to rebel? Now that would be amusing…

Ugh I’m getting a bad feeling… Duffy is about to die isn’t he?

Well, that’s rather unexpected. Why does he want Duffy to use the gun?

Duffy has always been impulsive… not always thinking well … as with his stupidity with Alan. At least Terrence gave him a fighting chance.

I had hoped the plot twist was that the mutts would turn out to be friendly. They’re not. They’re hostile. A price will have to be paid.

Duffy’s chance to shine. Terrance is too afraid of becoming a brain in a box.

The vents are visible below their heads. The head is too heavily armored. It is a slim chance the weapon may be able to communicate with them to order a stand down……but that is a slim chance.

Zero gun: “Hello, I will be your Zero gun tonight. Just tell me what the target is, I’ll be the one to supply the wine.”

Duffy has the cajones to join the fight to buy time for the others. Maybe Terrence doesn’t.

I think the MUTT armor is proof against Zero gun blasts. That’s why Duffy will have to aim. So will the others. I think an old fashioned bullet would do as much damage as it rattles around in there.

A relative of Alan’s in the second panel, perhaps..?

As I said before, this is allegedly the only iteration where Duffy has lived. So now he has a zero gun and the courage to go chase down and ‘rescue’ the others. In every other past, I’m guessing, the boats got away, the beach-shooters died… and so did Wally.

And the future wasn’t successful.

If anyone is interested, we’ve seen MUTTs terminated before.
