If you haven’t already done so, I pray that all of you living in the United States get out and vote. The future of your country, the future of democracy, and indeed the future of the entire world is riding on what is decided today! Your Vote Does Matter!!
I voted weeks ago, mail in ballot. I’m in a very Blue area, but the Republicans try to sneak candidates in for non partisan offices, or even run as a Democrat. With my actual ballot in front of me at home, I can research each candidate, each race. I voted for a Republican who had been unseated last election by a Democrat who wasn’t doing their job.
I’m still baffled by the name-calling and baser behavior exhibited by candidates and party members alike, when we have the common sense to punish our children if they behaved so immaturely and inappropriately.
One candidate insults and denigrates and hates, the other is calm, cool, and collected and when someone interrupted her rally on the Mall in DC and others tried to shout them down, she told them, No, this is democracy! Democracy is messy. Making your voice heard is part of the best of America!
