“Rivers of Babylon” is a Rastafari song written and recorded by Brent Dowe and Trevor McNaughton of the Jamaican reggae group The Melodians in 1970… Many covers including Bob Marley.

“By the Rivers of Babylon” is also the title of a great science-fiction story by Stephen Vincent Benét

I didn’t realize that psalm appealed to non-Jews. I’d like it if Sublime had recorded a version. They were one of the groups our daughter liked in high school that I liked too. Still sad for Bradley Knowell. (sp?)

This comic makes me think of the Don McLean version.
