Work used to be what kept you alive… the problem with our current society is that do-gooders, in the government, decided that that those with jobs should also support those that can’t work, or there aren’t enough jobs for everyone, or they just don’t want to…which used to fall on the families, but now which seems to be a growing percent of people… and a crash ensues….and many will not survive, or will resort to stealing and injuring those they want things from… It also doesn’t help when our government is taking money from those that work, and might still be able to help those that don’t, but have their taxes used to help people in other countries, (which is also used by our crooked leaders to launder some of the money we give them, and have it come back to THEM…). The money is NEVER kept track of, and who worries about several, or more, million dollars disappearing when we are sending billions!! Meanwhile, we here are trying so hard to get things we need, like gas, a couple of cents cheaper, or stop eating out, (which helps people whose job it is to cook for and serve us!….
The truth is corporations do not wish to hire more people. No they just want them to work an insane number of hours. Nor do they wish to treat them any better than the machines they try to replace them with. The rich pay less taxes and they want to take our retirement money from us. First they took our retirement funds and gave us a shaky 401K. Then they told us new hires wouldn’t even get a 401K. Hell I wouldn’t want to go to work either. FACT!
I had a job that would call to ask questions when I was on vacation. I quickly found places that did not have cell phone reception. Granted it was before 2011.

True. Struggled with that before retirement, and after retirement I’m struggling with it as well since I care for an ailing person

^^^Someone got up on the wrong side of bed. A snuggle from a Claremont would help her come back to Earth.

It’s tricky. I remember a motto from the military that I adopted. “Maintain an even strain.” Your employer is not entitled to 100%.

I would remark on how true it is, but I’m too tired from work.
