Time to come out of the closet of recrimination and admit who you voted for.

Politics is one subject my friends and I DO NOT discuss. In the past, it has cost us too many friendships ! ! !

Maybe among Pluggers, but I wonder about some of the younger ones. Hope so. Maybe in about six months.

My friends never stopped. We have different views but enjoy the discussion. We are still friends : )

Any Trumpers I knew were ignored and blocked back in 2016. Family, friends, neighbors, I don’t care. I’m happy without them.

Stopped having those friends since Ni*xon. I do have acquaintances of that ilk, and although I do not antagonize them, they are not friends. And up here I rarely see any maga hats or other signs of fascism. Most Canadians are not that type. Unless you are in Alberta and parts of Saskatchewan and parts of Ontario. But I have yet to see any calls for the end of our national health or the services we provide.

Not for long,though…..wait til the shenanigans start…..he’ll be picking up the phone to make sure there’s still a dial tone……

I have a friend on FB, who all year would post things like “We can disagree but still be respectful and treat each other with civility.” The day after election he posted “If you voted for Trump, tell me so I can block you. I am so done!” I commented with the meme with the saying above and said “I guess this only applies when YOUR guy is in the big chair.” I’m blocked.

Is Carl finally calling his “old friend” just to gloat that his guy (Carl’s) won? I think the guy in the green hat must have voted for Biden 4 years ago.

A look at the comments makes it clear that some won’t be friends again no matter what.

Or maybe not.

Or, if they don’t, they weren’t really friends anyway.

If Carl was a real friend, he would’ve stayed his friend.

As someone who is the same age as Trump, I suspect Mother Nature has some surprises in store for him over the next four years. For example, notice how quickly and profoundly Biden aged.

Sigh, I envy my American brothers and sisters, having your election behind you now, regardless of who you may have voted for…

Up here in The Great White North we still have almost a year of madness ahead of us before we can hope for any kind of positive change.
