I started reading comments because people with a sense of humor had something funny and nice to say!!!

Let us all be civilised humans and do the simple !IGNORE! to those who are talking about religion and politics! That way, when I come in the evening and start reading comments I’ll simply jump over writing of a “slipin’ rippin’ dang fang rotten”s :), and pick up what worth reading, relaxing myself, instead of digging it out of UGLY religious and political disputes!

Isn’t that why we are all here?! You can’t ban those people out, because they will log in under different user name, and everything will start over. We’re all children here, some of us by our sense of humor, others by their need to draw attention! My(Christian) God said, to turn another cheek, and I’ll turn it together with turning my head away, will not let them irritate me! AND IS THERE BETTER WAY TO PUNISH SPOILT BRAT THEN IGNOOOORING IT!?

Dad’s fervent prayer is that Calvin have a son just like himself, maybe even two or three such sons.

I’m pretty impressed by Calvin’s story actually, it’s very good. I think he might even get a gold star for that if he wrote it in class! :D

I’ve been reading the comments on here recently and was so horrified to find so much religious discussion in a place where it wasn’t welcome that I decided to sign up for an account and write comments that were actually relevant.

My opinion: the guy calling himself truecristian (complete with misspelling) is an impostor. This is a caricature done with a paint roller rather than a pen. Flag him and move on.

Good use of rhyme for a six-year old, isn’t it? And spot on with the allusion to “The Cask of Amontillado” - though without the merciful torch at the end… Is Calvin crueler than Poe?!?

Calvin needs a spanking for coming up with this. He ought to learn to be thankful to Dad for his food, home and all he has.

As for so called true christian I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if he was gay himself and is here to mock at Christians and make us look bad. I hope his account is suspended, and maybe flagging him will help, is there anything else we can do?

It is obvious that TrueCristian is nothing more than a troll getting his kicks from agitating other people by his outrageous remarks. If you simply ignore him he will eventually get tired of his little game and have to come up with another logon i.d. to start the whole process over again.

Macushlaronda, Do you know any gay people? I have a friend whose gay. So what? He lives a good life, is good to other people and does no harm to anyone. He also didn’t ask to born that way, but has learned to deal with it. As he says, it is what is and I can give up or live my life the best way I know how. This Sunday comic strip is so hilariously funny. I laughed after I read the last panel about Daddy yelled, “I GET IT. I GET IT!” I laughed.

I suspect that “TrueChristian” is no Christian at all, but rather is someone who is trying to portray Christians in a bad light. While some of what he says is true, the words and method are not consistent with Christ and the commands in the Bible.

People give me a break this is a comic read it and enjoy.

to start off my comment i will start with this “TRUECRISTIAN” stuff. I am a christian, i go to church and i worship the one true God. So i have a question for “TRUECRISTIAN” what on here this beautiful comic strip provoked you to start this? I understand, and feel that we should tell people about God and his works, but what you are doing is not that. when i read your comment i get upset more then anything. God tells us to love others. So please i am asking you and begging you to quit this. what you are doing is not right, not how to go about expressing your anger against others or talking about God. Please do it different.

I agree with the comments of drystya, mccushla, big mitchperez,tabbylynn and others, this post from a person calling themselves truecristian, is an exact copy occasionally, and I think the person is playing the “devils’ advocate” position, by spewing filth and objecting loudly, but calling himself a christian, he is hoping to make christians look evil. I flagged the fart as often as I have read his comments, and he/she should be banned from the comics, I think, too. Calvin and Hobbes are way too good for him. He needs to have his/her computer taken away, and eat gruel for 50 years. All in favor say “Aye”.

I love how he chose the name “Barney” for his character. I’m surprised Hobbes didn’t edit in a cameo for himself somewhere.

On a side note, I just registered for this forum, I love forums and I love C&H. I get the impression that our friend TC is not even a person, probably just one of many accounts on many forums that auto-post hate speech that is entirely unrelated to the content. Definitely work to get him banned, and if that doesn’t happen just ignore. He doesn’t reply to anything once he posts (I think), so he’s probably not even reading.

And before you ever say that about gays just remember that your god Jesus did not say anything about gays in the new testament. If you are talking about the old testament then before you make that comment relies that it is a sin punished by death to work on a Sunday. You have to sell your durters into slavery and lots of other rules that we do not uphold. Gays are human, you and me have just the same chance of getting aids as them. AMEN Valis616! You are forgetting one passage from Romans that advises banning Gays from the community as well as this gem:

Psalms 79:6: “Pour out thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known thee, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon thy name.” which calls for genocide against anyone or any country that does not agree, or is even aware of the existence, of Christianity.

This was always one of my favorite “Calvin and Hobbes” strips. I love that Calvin’s comic is so off-color, and offends the sensibilities of Dad. I also love Calvin’s drawings. They’re a little too good to be drawn by a kid, and that’s what makes them so appealing. They’re drawn by Watterson to make them appear “dumbed down” to a child’s level, but still maintain so much aesthetic appeal. It’s brilliant.

From the intro, I would have expected some felines to show up in the strip, though…
