I used to have cockatiels that would flip out if they heard an eagle or hawk scream on tv. They were born at home so it must be a genetic instinct.
Eagles have such a weak squawk they have hawks for vocal stand-ins. I live in a place with many eagles.

The big deal is that it is our national bird. It almost got killed off because of DDT. It has made a valiant comeback in recent years. Nowadays, some people would deny the problem exists.
Would the character of Pilsner be any different if Meddick had named him Lager?
I wish my conure was more afraid of owls.
