My late wife won all the arguments. We only had a few. I just would not speak. She would let it go after a while and then tell me what I needed to do. Ok baby, you’re right, I’ll get right to it or I’ll stop doing it.
You and almost every other husband, especially if you know what’s good for you. We can never win . Our best hope is to survive to live another day. The sooner we realize, the better it is for us…..
A normal day at the Thornapples. Brutus should be used to it by now. But thanks for giving us Uncle Ted today Chip. It’s going to be a stressful week and he brings us peace and goodwill that we all need.
My mother-in-law would often accuse my father-in-law of not letting her get a word in edgewise, but it wasn’t in connection with arguments. If she started a story, he’d take over, because in his view she wasn’t telling it right. She’d get frustrated when he added details that she hadn’t deemed relevant, but by that point it didn’t matter — now it was his story to tell.

As another comic strip character once said, “Words are like a sword.”

It’s easy to have the last word in any argument with your wife, just say,‘yes dear’.

As my ex used to say, “when I want your opinion, I’ll give it to you!”

I’ve won plenty of arguments with my wife. She wasn’t there, but that’s besides the point. ;-)

I had some friends and she could not talk without using her hands. He used to say that she talks so much that he couldn’t get a hand in edgewise.

Poor Brutus. Gladys learned her oratorial skills from Mother Gargle. He doesn’t stand a chance.

I can relate…women love to spar but men just want to walk don’t want to hear it let alone argue back. ☺️
