My Grandmothers used to leave the babies (both had 12 kids) under cabbage leaves while working the farm to keep them cool and protected. Then they would need to wait until the babies would cry to find them again. This is where our families stories of babies under cabbage leaves came from. Not sure about the origin of the tale.
When our daughter was less than a year old, we took her in her baby carrier on a trip to a farm to pick blueberries. We put her down on the ground and set to our task (always staying close by, of course). After a few minutes I pointed to our daughter and said to my wife, “Look, there’s Emily!”
My wife looked at me quizzically, though by then she knew me well to know I was up to something.
I explained, “Now when she grows up, we can honestly tell her that we found her in a blueberry patch.”

It’s about time you kids caught on. They just do that to avoid telling the truth.

Eddie doesn’t really know what a conspiracy theory is but, like everyone else, he needs to jump on that wagon!
