Jason: Hi, Dad! Bye, Dad! Roger: Andy, shhh, you have to come see this. I spotted Jason coming home from some garage sale with an armful of old National Geographics. Andy: So? Roger: So?? Andy, when I was a kid, there was only one reason I ever read that magazine - to sneek a peek at the occasional topless woman. Hee hee...It's beginning of the end, dear. That ol' Y chromosome is doing its thing. Andy: I'm glad you think you know our son so well.. Roger: Look at him ogle! What other explanation could there possibly be?!! Marcus: Oh, man! The Apollo 11 issue! Jason: And check out the moon map centerfold...

I have the December 1969 issue of National Geographic. There’s no moon map centerfold, but there is a floppy record with the Sounds of Space. In addition to the coverage of Apollo 11, there’s an article about the cathedral at Chartres, with magnificent pictures of the Rose window.

Topless women in National Geographic? That seems a bit out-of-place…
