Wild turkeys don’t need sanctuaries, they will see trouble coming and bail at max rate knots. They run fairly fast and can fly up to a mile at a time. Domestic turkeys are literally too stupid to be allowed out. Domestic turkeys are actually less intelligent than domestic chickens or pigeons. They aren’t really so stupid that they drown in rainstorms, but it’s close. They can barely run, and, as illustrated in the classic WKRP episode “As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly”, can’t fly.
Here’s sweet compassionate Lio again, wanting to save the poor turkeys this time. Last week it was the lobster…. seems he’s turned over a new leaf! There are some adults around who could take a lesson from him!
