It’s the thought that counts

If he really wants to do it right, he should give her something not only totally useless to her, but requires some expense to maintain. A gift of nothing is easy to take home.

I like his logic.

She deserves a vacation to some exotic place, how about a one-way ticket to Abu Daibi.

Oh this one is so delightful! Brutus sitting in his chair and the bat standing, pretending to be on the nice list, and Brutus coming up with a great line he usually thinks of too late. Not to mention his dripping sarcasm of her deserving the best. And a disappointed Gargoyle. No doubt there will be payback but he can savor this moment.
