Frank is right. You can’t know it until you’ve been it.

They are both too young to feel old. My dad didn’t feel old until he had to get his knees replaced at 80, and had to stop playing beach volleyball.

I didn’t feel old until I bought my first pair of bifocals. Then people started letting me get on the bus first, and then the cashier asked me if I had my senior discount cart. :P :P :P I’m 53.

I didn’t feel old until the first time a high school girl behind the counter asked me if I wanted a senior discount…

3am & I’m doing drugs. It’s like my 20s again, but now there’s a medicare copay.

This competition is going to get old. Fast.

I started feeling old around 68 and carrying a 45 lb keg of water was an effort.

You know you’re getting old when you walk down the street and see a scantily clad teenage girl walking with her mother…and you’re checking out mom.

…It’s NOT a competition.

…well, maybe it IS.

In my head I’m still 30, but I’d take 50. These late 60s are OK, but I miss my younger self. My mom pulled off the “cute little old lady” very nicely. It’s a struggle for me.

These competitive types….(eye roll)

Q: What is said only by losers? A: “It’s not a competition.”

I like to refer to having a head start on those mere 40- and 50-somethings.

With guys EVERYTHING’S a competition.

Hey—getting older beats the heck out of the alternative.
