Well… that was the propaganda they spread. The truth is they got themselves chased out of Europe for being bad citizens and murdering anyone who they happened to accuse of witchcraft. And if these are the Wampanoag tribe the Pilgrims will murder nearly every man, woman and child in 50 years because of a rumor they heard about tribes further up the coast being a little upset with the actions of their own white settlers. You know… a preemptive strike. All despite the fact that the Wampanoag had literally saved the Pilgrim’s lives and taught them how to survive the wilderness of their new home. Unfortunately, being thankful for indigenous peoples or any other peoples of color isn’t really a white thing.

Freedom of religion is our most important concept.. separation of chuch and state.. Let’s give thanks for that and all the blessing we have living free her in the United States.

Sorry to be a real nitpicker but what the Indian chief said is NOT a question.
