They’re called “cords” for short.
We use to call them ‘’Whistle Britches’’ when I was a kid. That was the sound they made as you walked along and the fabric from both legs rubbed against each other.
Sounds too much like ‘rhoids. Which you definitely do not want to ’give a feel’.
Well he is French, so we can give him a pass on the lingo.
