I had a kitty that played hide and seek…

I just finished reading Patricia Craighead George’s “The Cats of Roxville Station.” She describes the hidden lives of some feral cats in a little NE US town, and a boy wants to make friends with one. How wonderfully good she is at describing how cats “speak”! How they act! Right away, one learns that cats live in a world of intensely smelled odors: Everything is a smell . .

I loved playing “confuse-a-cat” with our cat Cyrus.

Makes you wonder, who’s stalking who?

That’s the cat look I get when I find one of mine hiding in a closet, or under the bed. Such fun :-)

I had two cats who liked to play games. I would pretend to not be able to see them and then go around the house calling for them. I looked under furniture and in closets, while the puzzled cats followed me around. Eventually I would “find” one of them and continue the game for a few minutes before “finding” the other cat. They soon figured out it was a game but continued to play.

Game on.

Lurking human.

I miss having a Kitty cat to play peekaboo with. One day!

Cat must be thinking, What is wrong with my human? I’d better go check on her!

Peek a boo!

I have a cat who plays peek-a-boo with me like this. After two or three rounds, she can’t stand it any more and has to come running over.
