Apropos of nothing, I still miss Swype which is still the best onscreen keyboard of all time, and I’m amazed Apple didn’t buy them to give iPhones keyboard supremacy.
I use the inside edge of my index finger… like turning my finger slightly clockwise… smaller finger surface to meet the little keyboard. ’Tween that and swipe it seems to be getting better and better. Totally shocked that swipe works on my Apple Watch with its dinky keyboard.
I’m constantly amazed now when I watch my son texting with his 6’5" frame and large hands. He uses his thumbs holding the phone in both hands. I’m still in the hunt and peck era just like others here. Amanda, you shouldn’t feel bad. We all have issues with it, no matter what size hands you have.
Try Speech to Text using a Lawrence Welk accent. Auto Correct goes into perpetual thinking mode. Sometimes makes attempts at translating from different languages. Ok, my parties are pretty bland.
I hate when you have to write you signature on one of those ~ what a mess! One guy asked me what my first name was. I said it’s right there ~ can’t you read it……
I have the same problem, fat thumbs. It was way worse when I had a flip phone, but auto correct is still not my friend. I don’t need a phone with all the bells and whistles, I just need a phone for emergencies. I use my tablet for everything else.

I still don’t have a cellphone, and I don’t see how anyone can type on them! An iPad is bad enough…

I have a special pen for that.

I sympathize. “Benign Essential Tremors” ain’t so benign in some ways.

I was a programmer so I understand how that stuff works. My fingers are too big to use on a touchscreen keyboard though.

Tou is one of my favorite misspellings. Automiscorrect doesn’t even suggest You anymore.

Love that song.

Talk to text for me. I have to fix the occasional mistake, but much faster.

On the plus side, Dan can probably figure that one out.
