His “marriage” is already marked for “death”.

His budget has a familiar ring.

“I spent our entire budget on this ring. So…this is my budget proposal!”

sounds like a ‘no’.

And what is proposal for all-ye-money settlements?

My dog ate my budget proposal!

His mind was NOT on the budget!!!!!

He’d like to marry the budget.

“Budget” could almost work as a name. Budget loves Bernie?

Actually, before I read the caption, my first take was that he was flicking a lighter.

He’s taking a knee for the team.

That’s some serious brown nosing.

Everyday political meeting.

But, my bribe IS budget-priced!

He always had a hard time understanding procedure, and bad timing.

I’ll bet they met at the office Christmas party from yesterday’s comic.

His mind is otherwise engaged.

“Will you marry me?” … “Who’s William Aramie?”… “He’s in accounting, sir.”

And I don’t swing that way.

Awkward!

Constructive engagement.

Looks like his budget is blown.
