Late night trip to the bathroom and I see Ariel on the table drinking from my late night wet your whistle water glass. She has hers but I guess this eas more fresh. Moved mine from the table to the sink counter
My Ericka decided one day to drink from my glass when it was full of orange juice. That was quite a shock to her. She seemed to think it was all my fault.
I leave out a glass measuring cup with water for my cat. She prefers the two-cup wide-mouth ones. It looks funny while she has her ears and whiskers folded back. However, it’s always good to encourage her to drink and I can visually measure how much she is drinking.
Our cat Teddy B kept knocking over my sister’s insulated tumbler in the middle of the night so I, the gardener sister, donated a heavy terra cotta pot to put her tumbler into! Success!

My younger cats drink out of the measuring cup on the bar. We tree-legs use sipper seals and lidded Thermos tumblers so our drinks don’t spill.

Would you like Mom to drink from your water dish? Not that she’d want to, ewwww!

Putting a lid on it won’t keep it upright. But it will prevent a spill.
