Moochers can’t be choosers, Poncho.
Parsnips are excellent. Poncho should get a visit from the Parsnip Anti-Defamation Society.
Apparently, the best way to store parsnips is to leave them in the ground. Even into winter. I remember a farmer, when his wife wanted to make a stew in January, taking an iron bar out into the garden to pry them loose.
My dad loved parsnips. I think I pretended to…
Clearly – he hasn’t mooched a brussel sprout then … ;-)
i dont think i ever had one
Come on Poncho. That piddly parsnip has nothing of the evil of …shudder broccoli(┬┬﹏┬┬)
Grilled parsnips are yummy. Seasoned.
First chuckle of the day, here.
Plus they’re high on the glycemic index. No good for me.
Brudder calls them “carrots in the potatoes.”
