If I did that, mom would have gotten a visit from my teacher. Some of them lived in the neighborhood where the folks had a business.

Back in my day, Tattoos were a sign of prison scum. People to avoid.

Kids are weirder than ever.

Nose rings were for hogs and bulls.

You know those temporary tattoos that kids wear at parties and such? Well now we know that temporary tattoos are a gateway ink.

Tattoos are bad enough, but seeing those pins and nose rings make me want to vomit.

My tongue piercing was better than any pickup line.

I heard a comedian say once that he liked girls with tattoos. He’d think, here’s a girl not afraid to make a decision that she’ll regret in the morning.

I have to admit that I do have a bigotry towards heavily inked or pieced people. My immediate impression is negative. There is absolutely NO reason for this. I’ve never had a negative experience with even ONE of them.

I suppose it’s because I do not have enough experience with these people. I don’t hang out with them or work with them on a daily basis.

I do know people who are tatted and pierced but very modestly. I do not have an issue with them. So there must be some “line” where it goes from being acceptable to me to turning me off.

The good thing about this prejudice is that I KNOW I have it and can consciously work against it.

What concerns me are those prejudices that I do NOT know I have.

Not sure why tattoos are considered cool now that fat grandmas are getting them. As I have seen at my pool’s water aerobics class.

I’m reminded of when The Beatles first came to the U.S. in their Edwardian suits and bowl haircuts, most said they looked like ugly girls, except for Paul who was kinda cute, then of course there was the way they looked in 1967.

Aunty, when you were young you were still using clay tables, and sharp sticks to write with.

they mostly seem to be cries for attention, saying look at me, I’m different from the others in a world where social media has reduced people to what they look like and where people are vilified for going against the crowd and being themselves.

……and usually had to wash it off!!!!!

We weren’t allowed to doodle on our desks. I remember doodling on notebook paper instead.

when i was young, started high school in RI and our desks had graffiti from the Civil War (school was built in 1843, gone now)

There probably wasn’t a lot of alcohol consumption when you were in school.

Watching Jelly Roll and Post Malone on CBS Nashville New Year’s Eve tonight. I guess face tattoos are a thing now.

The only tattoo that made an impression on my was the old Jewish man who had a series of numbers on his arm, all others who cares
