Some people are very satisfied with seeing what they want to see and hearing what they want to hear.

A thorough eye exam can detect diabetes, cataracts and glaucoma.

Yes, but do you see any cataracts?

Just had my eyes examined last week. The doctor said that I do have the beginnings of some cataracts, but nothing abnormal for my age. He said that for many people it never gets to the point where surgery is needed. But get it checked every year.
