Reminds me of a company I used to work for. The company did a wee bit better for the year. The CEO ran it by the comptroller in order to boost morale and the idea of having a party at his place for the employees. The Comptroller suggested that a Christmas bonus would be better.
My company went to a local supermarket and got coupons for half off on Christmas turkeys. That was for the married personnel. For the single workers they handed out a letter giving us a “Christmas meal” at a local Chinese restaurant.
I have a friend, back in the 80’s he worked at Golbros, a chain of jewelry stores here in the south. They received a small box of Turtles (a chocolate, caramel, and pecan candy) as their bonus. The price of each box was about $1

If they all follow Dana’s lead, Rita will be a real candy a$$.

Hackenschmidt shook his head. "A remedial screening of “Battleship Potemkin” would appear to be in order…"

I am sure they were from the previous Christmas. I am sure I have such a box somewhere around here. Although it may be 3 or 4 years old now.
