When I was Red’s age we had a big hill with a residential street on it that was closed to traffic. There were hay bales at the bottom to crash into just before a cross street.

In this case, I think Rover knows best.

Did Ruby understand Rover? Or was she just sensing something from him? But I don’t think Red would endanger them at all.
