Charlie Brown stands nearby watching as Patty reads a piece of paper. She asks, "Is this your letter to Santa Claus?"<BR><BR> He replies ,"Uh Huh..." as he tosses a horse-shoe at a stake. She sits on the floor and says, "It sounds a lot like the one you wrote last Christmas"<BR><BR> He stands over her and says, "It is..."<BR><BR> She stands and watches as he bends over and picks up a horse-shoe. He concludes, "I have a form letter that goes out every year!<BR><BR>

When my father told me that my mom and him were Santa Claus I got mad not because Santa did not exist, but because they got to eat all the cookies and drink all the milk and didn’t share… But now my sister and help with gifts and stuff and we get our share, so I dont think its so unfair anymore… ha

This kinda explains why Charlie Brown is disillusioned in a later strip (October 18, 1962) when Linus proposes sending the same form letter to Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Great Pumpkin. He’s been sending form letters to Santa for the better part of ten years by then. :P
