"All you have to do is keep your eye on the ball.." Charlie Brown says to Patty, who holds a baseball bat.<BR><BR> "Girls are a nuisance sometimes, but it's always a good idea to humor them.." he confides to the reader.<BR><BR> He throws it to her: "Okay..try an' hit it.."<BR><BR> POW! Patty swings, knocking Charlie Brown flat onto the ground.<BR><BR> KLUNK! The bat hit him on the head as Patty drops it and starts to run.<BR><BR> "A HOME RUN!" Patty cries as she runs over him towards the plate. "OOF!" he groans.<BR><BR> "Well? Do you think I'm good enough to play on your team, Charlie Brown?" Patty asks eagerly. Charlie Brown sits up. He is dizzy and bruised. He clutches his chest: "You'll never play on MY team!"<BR><BR> "Why not?" Patty asks as Charlie Brown crawls off. "Because I'm giving up the game.." he answers.<BR><BR>
