The statue is wearing a coonskin cap.<br> <br>

No, frontiersman Beethoven. Yet, I don’t think there were any frontiers in Germany at that time and Beethoven never stepped foot on the American frontier; he may have hiked to the Black Forest a time or two though. But there are no pianos in the Black Forest, only bears, European Bears.

Davy Crockett actually never wore a coonskin cap untill he went to the Alamo. Before that, he always wore a felt, or foxskin cap.
