Um…Stewie…the press was hugely pro-McCain at the beginning and up until fairly recently. Everyone commented on it – even the press. Heck, even Jon Stewart loved the guy. Face it: McCain blew it, high, wide and handsome. He listened to the wrong people. If he had continued his tight relationships with the press, he might have done better.

motivemagus: Are you for real????? The press is VERY pro Obama, in fact TV is too. I recall seeing a handful of McCain ads and dozens of smears and lies from Obama. You only heard about McCain till he won the Republican ticket then it went 100% full scale support for Obama, as it does ALL the time.

I said TV, not paper. But speaking of paper Times and Newsweek I know there are a few others. Wasn’t Times the ones that blurted out confident military intelligence placing many solders in harms way? That, my friend, is TREASON!

    THE MEDIA IS VERY LIBERAL!!!!!!!!

You must be blinded by Obama to realize this, every election for the past 5 have been democratically controlled.

The Project for Excellence in Journalism’s researchers found that John McCain, over the six weeks since the Republican convention, got four times as many negative stories as positive ones. The study found six out of 10 McCain stories were negative.

Apparently you didn’t read my email closely. First of all, McCain was by far the press favorite, and he blew it when he decided to shut down access. And I’ve seen plenty of McCain smears get tons of coverage on the news. I also suggest reading lalas’ link. While Obama got more airtime, it was more negative than McCain’s. Furthermore, McCain smeared a heckuva lot more than Obama, and much nastier stuff at that. Implying that a fellow American Senator is a terrorist is really sleazy.

In any case “100%” is nonsense. Fox News is one of the biggest players in this country, neck-and-neck with CNN, and it’s 100% Republican for McCain – the only station that consistently praises McCain (and Palin!) and disses Obama and Biden. Even the so-called “liberal media” hit both sides at least once in a while.

McCain blew it when he received the GOP ticket. The media was afraid of Fred Thompson and did their best to LIE to get him out of the race, and unfortunately we were stuck with MCain. Media is in love with liberals! Al Gore, Bill Clinton, and the infamous TRAITOR himself, John Kerry. Then you said “Implying that a fellow American Senator is a terrorist is really sleazy.” If the shoe fits! Is all I will say. He hates this country and his own mouth said the constitution is messed up! If that is not a traitor, then what is?

mytinytown: “Liberalism: Liberalism emphasizes individual rights and equality of opportunity. Within liberalism there are various streams of thought which compete over the use of the term “liberal” and may propose very different policies, but they are generally united by their support for a number of principles, including freedom of thought and speech, limitations on the power of governments, the rule of law, an individual’s right to private property, free markets, and a transparent system of government. All liberals, as well as some adherents of other political ideologies, support some variant of the form of government known as liberal democracy, with open and fair elections, where all citizens have equal rights by law.”

    You object to this?

And calling Kerry a traitor shows you are not living on this planet, let alone this nation. You preferred a sleazebag who bailed out of his National Guard service to a decorated veteran?

motivemagus 1st off, Kerry was a TRAITOR! He LIED about Nam and did his best to get out.

2nd Liberalism, you are correct in saying “Liberalism emphasizes individual rights and equality of opportunity” AKA Communism.

3rd Read everything I posted, I never said I like Bush, I will now though, I did like Bush 2000-2004, not 2004 to 2008 Bush.
