I don’t recall people screaming about Bush fixing the economy in six months when it tanked after 9/11 – and instead they handed him buckets of money to create a vast, wasteful, and generally incompetent and politicized bureaucracy (Homeland Security, in case it wasn’t obvious).
No problem, “The One” still has a few milliseconds to move the ground and lower our expectations further.
Oh, and motivemagus? Homeland Security seems to have worked better than anything Clinton contrived ‘cause there hasn’t been a repeat of 9/11 in nearly a decade.
