I had pretty much that same experience at Powderhorn, a decade and a half ago, in Boy Scouts. I’m glad they made me stay, but at the time, i was oh-so miserable. (It didn’t help that it was my birthday on the day I arrived. Some present!)

would have been nice if he had mentioned Alan Sherman somewhere…

yes, younger people not familiar with this little ditty that saturated the radiowaves back in ‘62 would assume that the cartoonist thought this up……allen sherman SHOULD be mentioned

Alan Sherman…the “Weird Al” of the 1960’s.

I remember a kid’s book that predated the song (or at least I think it did).

If he doesnt’ like Camp Who’yamomma, they should sent him to Camp Whackaboy.
