It seems Bubbles is part werewolf or vampire or something where she can get all fangy when she wants. The first panel where she’s grabbing Squishy’s eye socket was a little freaky.
It has to be a harness, with the leash in back, so the victim -er- client -er- toddler, can’t disconnect it. I had one at about that age for walks, and was snapped to the clothesline so I had a little range (but for short periods!) Mom could use both hands for something else, briefly.
Every few days I see toddlers who are just about leash-high, LOOSE!, and parents who are clueless about the need.

That’s the best place for her, although she’ll probably chew through the chain….

OMG! All Lio’s menagerie of oddities! It’s a good thing there was a stout leash handy to rein in Bubbles!

I love this comic.

Least Bubbles doesn’t have two super power friends, then they would be wrecking alot more of Lio’ stuff.
ozzimandius about 15 years ago

Enjoy your break, Lio. It probably won’t last long though.
lonewolf77 about 15 years ago
I think Chucky (Child’s Play) would self-destruct if he knew that he would end up as Bubbles’ toy.

Bubbie seems to have a penchant for eyeballs…

Steve, Lio is more likely to be Calvin’s son, if Calvin ever got married. Calvin’s dad was a very calm person who hated technology.

Garfield also has fangs that appear only at certain times.

Poor Squidy…

Bah…it’s far easier to chew though the leather portion than the chain. :) Or just pull up the stake.
Bender_Sastre about 15 years ago
Gonna need something more than a belt to hold that child down.

Poor Lio, sometimes one day with Bubbles feels like a reall long, awful, difficult, steep, hard, arduous week. Happy Friday Lio,

Welcome to the wonderful world of leather and chains, Bubbles; I have a feeling you’ll enjoy it well into your adulthood.

Come get yer kid.

Bad place for the belt. Should have been around her neck, tight! Then she wouldn’t be able to chew through it.
mtatulli Premium Member about 15 years ago
I originally had the belt around her neck, like a dog collar, but my editors nixed it.
Iphelia about 15 years ago
dog collar might have been construed the wrong way.
