Aw, c’mon Flo, you’ve been so embarrassed dozens of times in your life. I think your memory is starting to go.

Right benbrilling. What is the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over, but expecting different results each time.

No wonder I never get invited back! I thought that’s what they meant when they said “Make yourselves at home”.

My son also thinks a host means what they say literally. He doesn’t usually turn on the TV, but will read anything lying around, or play with anything that’s out. My parents had no problem with this, because he’s family. However, it doesn’t go over near as well with his other set of grandparents - they treat us like guests, instead of family.

Rmom—what a bummer to be treated like guests by family.

Cleo - You can understand why we’re not crazy about visiting my in-laws. My husband moved several states away, so he wouldn’t have to be around them as much. I have difficulty with people who place higher value on their possessions than they do their grandchildren. But, not much I can do about it, other than to be thankful we only see them once or twice a year.
