For better or for worse, that seems to be a rather small island….

Lived throught eh era and never saw a episode of Miami Vice. Doesn’t sound like I missed much. Of course I don’t think I’ve seen a entire episode of Seinfield or Friends either. Pretty sure ’m not missing much there either.

Best part of Miami Vive was the alligator (or croc) that lived on his boat. You had to watch where you stepped.

I remember watching the Miami Vice pilot episode, and at the end, the bad guy GOT AWAY. That NEVER happened on TV back then, I was floored. Also it was instrumental in incorporating pop music segments into mainstream TV dramas. It was a good show for a couple years before getting stale. Just because it became a bit cliche, doesn’t mean it wasn’t influential back at the start. Even the clothing alone set it apart.

I actually saw that scene (by accident, of course), and I’m now convinced that “Major Uncool” was the name of whoever came up with that show.

    I preferred Remington Steele, anyway.
