Among Royals, and royals-followers, this season ultra-broadbrimmed hats are in fashion, whereas penguins will tend to favor the Carmen Miranda fruity variety….Three cheers for Randy Andy: hip hip HUZZAHhip hip HUZZAHhip hip HUZZAH!—That felt quite satisfying.
Everyone seems to forget that Prince Charles and Diana were not given the choice about who they would marry. Charles had wanted to marry Camilla back in the ‘70s was told she was not suitable. Diana’s father wanted her to marry the Prince of Wales since he was rejected as the consort for Queen Elizabeth and he wanted his grandson to be the king of England. Due to how badly Charles’s and Diana’s wedding turned out Prince William was allowed to pick who he wanted to marry, which happened to be his long time girlfriend who also happened to be a commoner.
As far as I can tell, GoComics only has the zoom available for comics that have a higher resolution image available. Having a larger image is sometimes helpful, but having a larger AND clearer image is even better.
As for having a higher resolution image available for Bloom County (or The Boondocks), I’ve been barking up that tree for years.
Wow, the Randy Andy strip! I saw this when it first came out (egads, probably a quarter century or so ago), and to this day I can’t be introduced to a Randy or an Andy without thinking, “Randy Andy, Randy Andy, Randy Andy!”
In any family, in any society, uncles will always be favored over fathers because they provide all the fun and none of the rules.÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷I remember an early strip where Chuck was trying to get the baby to say “Father”; instead, the kid’s first word was “Figurehead.” Go figure.
English is not my native language and I did not even know, at the time this strip came out, what the word “randy” meant. Needless to say, when I learned the meaning of the word this strip instantly became a Bloom County favorite of mine!

In retrospect so very odd…. Dianna’s unhappy marriage, her untimely death, Charles’ on going affair and now second marriage.
We can all recall the ‘glam treatment’ Will & Kate got this summer.

Is there any chance of adding the zoom feature to this comic strip? The size of the font is very difficult to read.

Out of the mouth of babies, how little we really knew then.

It looks like this particular strip only scratched the surface and barely hinted at what the future would hold.
