This strip now officially is history. Time marches on. No smoking sections anymore because no smoking in most public places. We now can breathe when we eat and drink.
I’m on board with that — non-smoker me — too. I would just ask that the bars who want to cater to smokers post a warning sign on the door… for those of us who don’t smoke..Fair?
I quit smoking 11 years ago and ,believe me, I have more pressing matters to worry about than who’s smoking around me. Like the “monopoly of force crowd” who are employed by the “We rule you and you’ll do what we say or else crowd.”!

I remember those days. The non-somking area was the table without an ash tray.

Oh man, at least the world sometimes does change for the better, doesn’t it? I’ve a lot fewer headaches than I did in those days.

I guess the next time I run the gauntlet at Walmart I’ll try to remember how far we’ve come. Then again……where can I get a portable fire hose?

Having a smoking section in a restaurant is like having a peeing section in a swimming pool.

the sad part is all those smokers back in the 1980s who lit up at bars and restaurants, are now have serious health troubles if they are still alive.

Especially on airplanes! Thank God for the banning of smoking in public places!

even as a smoker, I love the restaurant/bar smoking ban.

If the smoke would just stay in the “smoking” area there would be no problem.
