Ok. That’s never happened to me. But 2 years ago I hurt my back and can no longer ride a horse, which is something I’ve loved to do for the last 60 years sigh. But I have my memories, and have other activities that I love to do, so life goes on. A nose, however …I don’t think I could live without a nose—I love to smell my roses and jasmine and homemade cookies fresh out of the oven and chicken on the grill and … oh, you know what I mean.
I had a friend in the service who lost a nose in a fire fight, a medic reattached it but later when the bandages were removed it was discovered that the nose was up-side-down. My friend today is unable to go outside when it is raining for fear of drowning.

His nose fell off? Is Mr. Binkley secretly related to Opus? Did I miss something way back when I turned a mere 40?

I was close to Binkely’s age when this cartoon was published and I still remember it. Now, I’m 2 years older than Binkley’s dad.
