Boy, how many of these alternate punchlines does Bloom County HAVE? This is yet another strip of which there are at least two versions. In the version published in the collection “Night of the Mary Kay Commandos,” Opus’ last line is “Well, it was inevitable.” In my opinion that’s superior to this one, which is a bit heavyhanded.
